We are a welcoming group of gardeners and nature lovers who volunteer our time to make our town beautiful. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a beginner, you can participate in many different ways: rolling up your sleeves and helping in one of our public gardens, attending informative programs, or sharing the joy of gardens with others.
While many members are regularly engaged in efforts to beautify Bethel, you don’t need to get your gloves dirty to help out. All are welcome!
See all of our upcoming events including our big fundraiser each year, our Annual Plant Sale! Look for us at community events: Trick or Treat Street, Earth Day, and Shop & Stroll.
We plant and maintain many public gardens, as well as dozens of downtown window boxes. We go on Weed ‘n Walks to keep the public gardens looking their best, and to recognize especially pretty downtown neighborhood gardens with seed-embedded “thank you” cards! Visit our gardens.
We sponsor the Bethel Garden Club Annual Gardening Series at the Bethel Public Library. See the library's online calendar for information and to register. In addition, many Club meetings are followed by a presentation from a guest speaker. They are open to the public and will be posted here and on our Facebook page.
We play an active role in the Bethel community by connecting with other local groups to make Bethel beautiful — from high school students who need community service hours, to senior citizens who have fun with garden therapy. We also create spectacular May baskets to brighten up our municipal department offices.
We welcome new members throughout the year! You don’t have to know how to garden or have a garden to join us. Simply bring your passion for the beauty of gardens and nature, and a willingness to contribute in your own way. There are field trips, luncheons, and fun seasonal activities that help members become friends! You can follow us on Facebook too and see what we are up to!
